Azure Platform Engineer

I have an immediate need for an Azure Platform Engineer for my client based in the Chester area - this role is a permanent position to attend the office on a "needs must" basis (this is likely to be like 2-4 times per year.


The role will instrumental in leading the build, test & maintenance of the company's Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring that the evolution of their platform is secure, resilient and scalable. The Platform engineer should lead & promote best practices to simply the delivery of software products.


Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manage & Maintain Microsoft Azure Platform
  • Manage escalated support requests, take ownership, track, prioritise, and progress support calls to a successful resolution.
  • Support IT Operations with Azure/DevOps issues.
  • Support Developers with pipeline issues, along with assistance with developing new and more streamlined ways of working.
  • Support new technologies used with Azure ensuring they align with the companies' principles for Security, Availability and Recovery.
  • Document procedures needed to perform administrative tasks.
  • Document any changes made to systems.
  • Write “How to” guides for staff.


Knowledge / Qualifications


Essential


  • Experience in DevOps
  • Azure (APIM, Functions, Cosmos, Service Bus, Event Grid, AppInsights)
  • Terraform / YAML
  • .Net Core C#
  • Azure DevOps CI /CD pipelines (Terraform)
  • GIT
  • ITIL Management
  • SQL Server (TSQL and Management)


It would be really advantageous if you have any of these certifications:

  • AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate
  • AZ-204 Azure Developer Associate
  • AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert


Salary of upto £75k with benefits.
