My client a Not for Profit are looking to hire a HR Assistant on a 6-month temporary contract. To carry out this role you must have UK and African HR experience.
The HR Assistant will manage all the administration elements of the employee lifecycle. This includes the successful and smooth on-boarding of employees, administration relating to terms and conditions of employment as well as managing the leaver and off boarding procedures and interacting with Payroll.
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for people related queries.
- Support the Talent Acquisition Manager with interview scheduling, offer generation, work experience and onboarding.
- On boarding of new hires which includes, but is not limited to:
- Pre-employment checks
- Staff file set up
- Providing required data to payroll
- Creating the employee profile on the HR system
- Producing any other relevant paperwork
- 1st Day Induction
- Manage key employee dates e.g. probation periods, end of FTC’s etc.
- Managing and inputting all employee changes into the Database and creating the associated paperwork.
- Off boarding of leavers, which includes but is not limited to:
- Reference requests
- Producing the leaver paperwork
- Updating the HR system
- Informing payroll
- Cancelling any benefits
- Scheduling the exit interview.
Competencies:
- MUST have African and UK HR experience
- At least 2 years HR experience
- Excellent attention to detail
