Our client is seeking a Senior Risk Officer to join their dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will focus on Data Risk and Information Risk, managing BCBS239 PERDARR implementation. What you'll do:

As a Senior Risk Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our client's UK Risk Department meets its objectives. You will be instrumental in managing BCBS239 PERDARR implementation in the UK Bank, driving data compliance and aligning with central departments. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders will be key in implementing PERDARR across the organisation. Reporting on progress, raising escalations and dependencies will also form part of your responsibilities.

  • Manage the BCBS239 PERDARR project and other associated change projects in the UK
  • Drive the execution and implementation of PERDARR in the UK to ensure BCBS239 regulatory compliance
  • Contribute to improvements to Risk Reports in the UK Bank to drive Data Compliance including Data Capability (Governance, Data Quality, Data Lineage, Data Sourcing)
  • Ensure alignment with central departments such as the central PERDARR project team, the Data Governance & Compliance department
  • Lead communication with relevant UK stakeholders to implement PERDARR
  • Report on the progress of the BCBS239 implementation, raising escalations and dependencies to the UK Project Committee and UK Entity Risk Committee

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Risk Officer position brings a wealth of experience in data management or finance and risk management reporting. Your knowledge of data management best practices will be invaluable in this role. You are familiar with regulations and regulatory requirements, demonstrating excellent stakeholder management skills. Your proven track record within a risk function and understanding of risk management methodologies for both financial and non-financial risks will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, your understanding of bank IT systems, management information, and reporting systems will be beneficial.

  • Proven experience in data management and/or Finance and Risk management Reporting such as BCBS 239
  • Strong knowledge of data management best practices (e.g. DAMA)
  • Experience with regulations and regulatory requirements
  • Experience within a banking organisation
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record within a risk function with a strong understanding of risk management methodologies for both financial and non-financial risks
  • Very good understanding of bank IT systems, management information, and reporting systems
