Payroll Supervisor

Type: 12 month contract

Location: Hull (Office based)

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working with a well-established business in the construction sector who are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Supervisor on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.


As Payroll Supervisor you will be working within a fast paced department supporting two members of staff to fulfill payroll procedures and processes across multiple sites with day to day responsibility including:


  • Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly employment changes including new starters, transfers, promotions, maternity and paternity, sickness, bonuses, overtime and terminations
  • Ensure monthly, fortnightly and weekly payrolls across a number of sites are processed
  • Resolve disputes and queries relating to payroll production
  • Responsible for P11Ds, P60s, P45s and payment of benefit taxes through the payroll
  • Process all payroll and pensions documentation to ensure that each payroll run is as complete
  • Undertake multiple payroll activities/queries ensuring that all queries are resolved in a timely manner delivering efficient, effective, and professional customer service
  • Issue reports on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Supervise and support payroll team
  • Ad-hoc HR admin tasks to support the business including contracts of employment and
  • Check and audit payroll to make sure regulations are met


To excel in this role, you will have previous experience leading a payroll for c1000 employees across multiple sites with skills and characteristics including:


  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role and processing end to end payroll
  • Staff supervision and support experience
  • Experience of processing weekly monthly and fortnightly payrolls
