Job Title: Student Conduct & Complaints Officer
Location: Central London – flexible remote working
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: temporary for 9 months
Pay: £24.09 - £26.92p/h + holiday pay.
Join a leading higher education institution in Central London, due to the restructure of the team a new role has arisen.
You will manage and resolve student complaints (non-academic) and misconduct cases, ensuring compliance with the university policies and ethics. Reporting to the Head of Legal Services, you will conduct timely investigations and provide recommendations.
Your responsibilities as a Student Conduct & Complaints Officer, will include:
- Manage all aspects of student complaints and misconduct cases, ensuring compliance with university procedures and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues handling complex and sensitive cases.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of revised processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records for monitoring, audit purposes, and identify trends for improvement
- Act as a senior point of contact for students, staff, and external parties involved in casework
To be a successful in the role you will require:
- Experience working with regulations and procedures related to complaints and disciplinary processes in higher education
- Have a strong understanding of OIA cases
- Experience in risk assessment and management
- Strong understanding of legislation related to data protection, confidentiality, and equality.
