This is Dyslexia offers a range of educational resources, workshops, webinars, and training programs tailored to support dyslexic individuals and educate educators, parents, and employers.
Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Tutor at This is Dyslexia. The Tutor will be responsible for providing personalised tutoring sessions to young people who have gaps in literacy. Learners may have dyslexia and will need lessons adapted to cater for their diverse learning styles. The role involves creating individualised lesson plans and delivering online lessons for young people aged between 7-11 years.
It is anticipated that the Tutor will have 3 hours available each week to offer tuition sessions after school hours or at weekends.
Qualifications
- Qualified teacher with at least 3 years experience in UK schools
- Experience in providing online tutoring sessions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create individualised lesson plans
- Understanding of dyslexia and diverse learning styles
- Patience and empathy in working with young people
- Adaptability and flexibility in tutoring approaches
