We are looking for a Localisation Producer to work with our client on a Freelance basis


JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Reporting directly into the Senior Producer, the key objectives of this position are to work as a Producer of the Localised Tour television programmes. The role will be to work primarily as an Edit Producer for localised content and productions we produce for the regional broadcasters, with the Executive Producer having overall responsibility.


The day to day role includes:


  • Producing high-quality localised shows that comply strictly with each market’s requirements and are delivered on time
  • Ensuring that the quality of the output is consistent across all markets and that the delivered shows are error free.
  • Creating and implementing new programme innovations and localisation ideas, after discussion with the Senior Producer
  • Assisting in the time-management of the editing process, helping to create and revise edit schedules to ensure that all delivery deadlines are met while maintaining the high production-values of the shows.
  • Implementing editorial content of high quality programming that appeals to our international broadcasters
  • Assist in maximising the effectiveness of our TV programming for all markets
  • Ensuring all EPT localised programming output meets production and broadcasting standards
  • Understanding the technical capabilities of the equipment needed for all aspects of the productions
  • Having an understanding of, and keeping up with trends in digital delivery formats, and using this knowledge to aid the delivery process
  • The successful applicant will also be responsible for the production of specific localised programmes and production projects that related to Regional Tours and AFPs from beginning to end including responsibility for ensuring timelines are met and quality is maintained. It is also expected that this role will understand the planning and development of the clients television programming so it evolves in order to ensure we maintain our position at the forefront of poker programming.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Creating and implementing scripts, features, and dynamic poker programming content in all languages that have requested localised programming
  • Making editorial decisions to maintain the quality of programmes in production
  • Ensuring that all translated materials needed for the edit are in place beforehand
  • Implementing the relevant branding and marketing messages within our localised EPT programmes
  • Implementing the production of specific TV programming projects from beginning to end including engaging in productions on set, liaising with talent, the post production process, through to programme delivery to our broadcasters (these will include EPT, Regional Tours and AFP programmes)
  • Helping shape programming for different markets to improve response rates from the TV product
  • Liaising with events, branding and PR teams on logistics and planning across the regional tours to ensure production is included in all areas of the business
  • Ensuring that our content is considered across multimedia platforms, from TV to web to mobile formats & initialising interactive content where possible
  • Working with a variety of production companies with varying levels of experience and understanding of poker programming
  • Helping to manage the edit schedule and helping to ensure that all delivery targets are met
  • Aiding in the development of new delivery formats


Skills and Capabilities



Essential:

  • Must have poker industry experience a detailed understanding of poker, how the game is played and what poker programmes are currently being created in various international markets
  • Must have fluent English
  • Must have worked in the TV industry (any aspect) for 6 plus years
  • Experience edit producing
  • Experience of working on post produced sports programming
  • Understanding of file based media plus basic editing skills on Avid and/or FCP
  • The ability to create engaging content
  • Must have experience in some or all of the following areas: Producing, Edit Producing, Line Producing, scripts, edit schedules
  • Must be London based
  • Strong process, organizational, and business skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well with large groups
  • Ability to multi-task and to adapt easily to change

Desirable:

  • Ideally have experience working with reversioned programming
  • Ideally have experience working on multi platform productions and interactive content
  • Experience within Italy, Spain, Germany or France would be helpful although candidates with experience in other markets will be considered
