We are a fast-growing, progressive and technologically advanced law firm looking to boost its already substantial debt recovery offering.

As a firm we work closely with SME’s, banking & finance clients, debt collection companies, High Court Enforcement Agencies and Insolvency Practitioners. Our debt recovery team is backed by a bespoke debt recovery system (now part of our new Visual Files case management system) which enables the smooth and effective management of a caseload and the ability to integrate with our clients’ accounting & finance platforms.

The role: Assistant in the debt recovery team at FWJ

An exceptional opportunity for a junior in our firm’s debt recovery team. You will play an important role in the smooth running of the team and its future growth.

You will support the team generally and help it deliver excellent services to our clients.

The role will involve the following main elements:

• Opening new client and matter files to include the input of data.

• Preparation of Letters of Claim for team leader approval.

• Assisting with the preparation of standardised documents.

• Liaising with the Courts by email and by telephone to obtain information and copy documentation.

• Scanning and electronically filing all incoming and outgoing post.

• Assisting with the system production of High Court Writ of Control Applications.

• To assist the Head of Debt Recovery with billing procedures and cash received procedures.

• Preparing Hearing Bundles.

• Ordering stationary for the Debt Recovery Team as and when required.

• To ensure that all action lists are completed on a daily basis.

• Accurate time keeping, record keeping and file maintenance.

• To ensure the confidentiality and security of all Firm and client documentation and/or information.

• To deal promptly with client enquiries and correspondence with the support of other team members and the team leader.

• To ensure that all client and matter records are made and maintained in line with the Firm’s procedures.

• To assist with all Administrative tasks for the team.

• Other ad hoc duties as and when required.

Experience

We are happy to work with someone who is keen and enthusiastic to learn. Ideally the successful candidate will be able to show experience of providing administrative support to fee earning lawyers and will have competent IT Skills including Microsoft applications.
