US Natural Gas Trader

We are working with a global bank (sell-side) looking to hire a Natural Gas Trader with a focus on US gas markets to join their team based in London. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of US Nat Gas and basis markets (and any options experience would be a big plus).
The Natural Gas Trader will be responsible for fully trading and executing for the firm's clients, covering both market making and prop/personal risk pnl generation. This role will involve managing significant risk positions, market making, and trading around positions, and the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of US gas markets and strong analytical skills to develop and execute effective trading strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fully trade and execute for clients, including hedging and proprietary trading.
- Manage and take significant risk positions.
- Quote clients, market make, and trade around positions.
- Develop and execute trading strategies based on market fundamentals.
- Understand and trade physical gas as well as derivatives like HH options.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in natural gas trading.
- Deep understanding of US gas markets, including different hubs and physical locations
- Good working knowledge of US Nat Gas and basis markets
- Options experience (a bonus but not required)
- Ability to analyze market fundamentals effectively
- Experience in proprietary/flow-based trading and risk management
- Strong networking skills and established industry connections
