Job Description:

A premier security operations center (SOC) in Leeds is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced leader to join their team as a SOC Shift Lead. This role is crucial in managing and leading a team of security analysts, ensuring the effective operation of the SOC on a 24/7 shift pattern.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Providing hands-on leadership to the SOC team, ensuring efficient and effective security monitoring and incident response.
  • Security Monitoring: Overseeing the use of various SIEM tools including Splunk, Sentinel Defender, and Qradar to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.
  • Incident Response: Leading incident response efforts, coordinating with other teams and stakeholders to mitigate security threats.
  • Shift Management: Managing a shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off, ensuring continuous coverage and smooth operation of the SOC.
  • Training and Development: Mentoring and training junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a SOC environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM tools such as Splunk, Sentinel Defender, and Qradar.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
