The search is on for a new senior member of the team to join as an ESG Associate who will drive ESG performance and create a sustainable investment framework covering all assets of the investment arm of the Group.


The Role


Would suit an ambitious and self-motivated professional, who has experience developing a sustainable finance framework to ensure regulatory compliance for all assets under management. There is also responsibility for preparing and disseminating the annual sustainability reports and disclosures, along with developing systems to ensure a seamless reporting process



Other tasks include:

  • Horizon scanning to identify emerging ESG frameworks and keep up to date on regulatory changes, review best practice standards and review peer disclosures.
  • Responsibility for ESG marketing content on websites and ensure messaging remains up-to-date and highlights Group expertise to the market.
  • Prepare and present ESG Board reports.
  • Build strong relationships with teams across Group to support the delivery and improve ESG practices and identify opportunities for value creation.
  • Work with ESG team to engage and inform stakeholders on ESG and its importance within investment activity.
  • Take on any additional ad hoc projects and reasonable tasks as requested by a Manager, Partner or Director of the business.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject or have equivalent qualification level by relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience gained within an ESG / Sustainability role within the investment sector, with a preference for renewables.
  • Proven experience with the implementation of sustainable finance frameworks including SFDR, EU Taxonomy and reporting frameworks such as CSRD, PRI, Sustainable Development Goals and UK Stewardship code.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative style.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Demonstrable project management skills used to meeting deadlines and keeping focus.
