Would suit newly qualified NEBOSH candidate with HSG65 Auditing experience.

Candidates MUST live within one hour drive of Colchester.

Salary Range: 32k to 36k plus Benefits.

Main Purpose of the Job


To be the trusted business partner for the management of health and safety systems for the Company’s client account base to ensure we provide health and safety services in line with our contract with the individual client. This role is about building long term trusted relationships with new and existing clients from a variety of backgrounds and industries. To excel in this role take strong people and communication skills. Being confident to talk to people at all levels and sectors would be essential. To provide exceptional service to our clients in all aspects of work in line with our Company Values and Behaviours. To promote the Company at every opportunity and project a professional image at all times.


Key Duties and Responsibilities



· Actively demonstrate commitment to the Companies core values and behaviours.

· To visit clients to undertake audits to HSG65 and reviews in accordance with contract provision.

· To prepare written reports on all audits and reviews outlining key recommendations which reflect current Health and Safety legislation for presentation to the client

· To write, produce and develop on an ongoing basis the policies, procedures, forms and guidance notes for all clients as required to produce their Health and Safety System.

· To liaise with advisory services on checking current legislation and best practice in relation to all work carried out for clients.

· To develop and deliver systems for undertaking risk assessments for a range of clients from varied industries and sectors.

· To undertake risk assessments as required for a range of clients from varied industries and sectors including Fire Risk Assessments.

· To design and deliver training on a range of health and safety subject areas including but not limited to Basic Health and Safety Awareness, Manual Handling, Risk Assessment,Train the Trainer

· To provide a health and safety service for the Park City Group of Companies

· To be actively involved in writing, creating and developing new systems and policies for inclusion within the Health and Safety Management Systems for clients.

· To provide telephone helpline advice to clients as required.

· To visit clients in the event of accidents or incidents at work which merit specialist health and safety expertise.

· To be actively involved in other aspects of the business including business planning, attending internal meetings and attending promotional events

· To keep your own knowledge of Health and Safety law up to date by reading the relevant publications and maintaining continuous professional development records and attending relevant training events.

· To manage client schedules of work , the health and safety plan, to ensure service level is delivered in full.

· To actively generate and close further opportunities outside of the service level agreements with our clients, in accordance with individual targets. Additional services, projects and training that are required.

· To provide support and assistance to the management team on project work or any other assignments as and when required.

· Managing and carrying out the handover process for new and existing clients.

· To ensure Salesforce records are entered daily including logging calls and emails and ensuring meetings and service delivered is up to date at all times.

· To participate in the out of hours helpline service on a rota basis.

· To travel to clients using own vehicle and or public transport, some overnight stayscan be required occasionally.

· To occasionally work outside normal office hours and reasonable additional hours to ensure completion of tasks, this may include hours prior to office opening hours, evenings and weekends occassionally.

Person Specification


· Relevant Qualifications and Professional Association with IOSH and/or NEBOSH, preferably at Technical Member level. NEBOSH General Cert Minimum.

· Relevant experience in an in-house H&S role or existing consultancy

· Passionate and enthusiastic attitude to Health and Safety management

· Problem solving skills

· Positive friendly can do attitude and approach

· Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, telephone

· Ability to adjusting presentation style according to the client

· Confidential Professional possessing a business focus

· Excellent presentation skills

· Drafting skills to facilitate the preparation of client documentation

· Facilitating skills – project management

· IT skills - MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Sharepoint.

· Professional, friendly, adaptable, sympathetic, empathetic

· Assertive and confident in client handling

· Prepared to travel & in possession of a valid driving licence
