In this dynamic role, you’ll take charge of a dedicated security team, ensure safeguarding excellence, and maintain compliance with licensing objectives, all while contributing to an environment where people feel inspired, valued, and secure.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and motivating the security team to deliver exceptional service and ensure the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
  • Championing safeguarding practices for members and guests, ensuring their well-being at all times.
  • Overseeing compliance with licensing objectives, including public safety and crime prevention, to uphold the club’s reputation.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and implementing innovative strategies to enhance safety and security.
  • Managing cutting-edge security systems, including CCTV and access controls, to maintain a secure and efficient environment.
  • Collaborating with Heads of Department to ensure security operations align seamlessly with the club’s operational goals and member experience.
  • Investigating and resolving incidents promptly, documenting actions to build trust and accountability.
  • Delivering engaging and impactful training sessions to ensure the security team is always ready for any situation.
  • Acting as the primary liaison with external agencies, including police and licensing authorities, fostering strong relationships.
  • Creating a positive security presence that enhances the sense of safety for members and staff alike.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • You hold relevant security or safeguarding certifications (e.g., SIA License, safeguarding training) and have a passion for keeping people safe.
  • You have proven experience leading a security team in a fast-paced, high-profile environment, such as hospitality or private members’ clubs.
  • You bring a deep understanding of UK safeguarding practices and licensing objectives.
  • Your leadership and team-building skills inspire confidence, collaboration, and top-tier performance.
  • Your communication and interpersonal skills allow you to connect effortlessly with members, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • You’re tech-savvy, with hands-on experience managing CCTV and access control systems.
  • You stay calm under pressure and thrive in challenging situations, responding swiftly and effectively to emergencies.
  • You have a proven track record of conducting risk assessments and driving meaningful safety improvements.

Why You’ll Love It Here

At The Groucho Club, we know our people are the key to our success. That’s why we offer:

  • A competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
  • 30 days holiday to recharge and explore.
  • A health cash plan and Vitality Private Medical Insurance to support your well-being.
  • Discounts at thousands of retailers through our online savings portal.
  • Pension contributions to invest in your future.
  • Life Assurance for peace of mind.
  • Complimentary staff meals during shifts to keep you energised.
  • Opportunities for training and development to help you thrive in your career.

This is more than just a security role; it’s your chance to lead with purpose, protect what matters, and make a lasting impact. If you’re ready to create a safe and welcoming environment where excellence thrives, we’d love to hear from you.
