IT Tehnician

Our Ilford based client are looking to recruit an IT Technician to join their thriving place of education.

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Providing an efficient and effective IT technical Support service to the staff and students
• Check and maintain the premise IT resources for safe, effective use by pupils and staff
• Support and advising pupils and staff in the appropriate use of IT equipment
• Performing standard IT support duties

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Installing new software and hardware
• Setting up new equipment in a secure way, data projectors, interactive whiteboards, sound systems and other specialist ICT equipment, ensuring that the systems are ready to use and operating correctly

Server and Network Support

• Perform basic and diagnostic routines
• Guide others on the acceptable use policy

Maintenance

• Detect, diagnose and resolve most PC, printer, promethean screen and peripheral device faults
• Maintain email accounts
• Obtain quotes from suppliers
