Altrad Services UK is seeking a dynamic MEH Strategic Workforce Planning Manager to drive resource optimisation and workforce planning at the HPC site. Accountabilities & Key Deliverables:


• Work with project managers to assess resource requirements

• Ensure existing resources are allocated appropriately

• Work with Project Controls team to track and maximise resource utilisation

• Monitor progress and adjust resource allocations as required

• Work with Joint Venture partner organisations to develop and implement resource planning strategies to meet project objectives and deadlines, developing contingency plans for scarce resources

• Analyse resource utilisation data and identify trends and make recommendations for improvements

• Liaise with MEH Planning team to capture accurate resource histograms and scenario planning and share with delivery partner teams

• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels, provide dashboards/metrics/reporting for use by leadership team in decision making

• Manage talent pipelines – apprenticeships, upskilling etc. to ensure the optimal mix of Build/Buy/Borrow/Bind

• Take responsibility for Succession Planning

• Manage teams across Onboarding, Blue collar resourcing and white collar recruitment

• Provide up to date Employment & Skills plan updates on a regular basis

• Liaise with client to ensure scarce skills are identified and risks communicated to ensure these skills are highlighted to government to enable sourcing of non UK labour as required

• Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture

• Role model safety behaviours and act as an ambassador for MEH on site


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience


• Degree or equivalent

• Relevant Professional Qualification – in Project Management or HR/Resourcing

• Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior management role working in an industrial unionised environment.

• Proven track record in Strategic Workforce Planning or Resourcing within large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects

• Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).


Additional Qualifications/ Experience:

• Proven track record of success in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including working on major construction projects

• Effective communicator, experienced in delivering and operating at a Senior Leadership Level

• Strong leader, experienced in managing within joint ventures, liaising at all levels with a positive, “can do” mentality and the ability to reach sensible compromise positions

• Politically aware – understands the multi stakeholder context in which the role operates and manifests a collaborative approach

• Good client/external body facing experience with excellent working knowledge of the relevant training and funding organisations

• Positive, can-do mentality

• Strong leader with collaborative nature

• Ability to reach sensible compromise position

• Can demonstrate previous record of success in their discipline
