Role Description:

The Technical Consultant is responsible for a variety of roles in Service Delivery including solution design, technical implementation, application / business rules configuration, deployment, training and documentation as a part of a larger project team. She/he performs the implementation through a proven, structured methodology where the solution will be deployed, knowledge transferred, best practices adhered to and go-live completed. These projects combine on-site and remote work and provide a very dynamic work environment.


To ensure the clients' and Company's needs are met, the Technical Consultant will regularly collaborate with other members of the Delivery team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as Sales, Presales, Customer Success and Operations.


A Technical Consultant is performing tasks within a specific domain of expertise. A consultant is developing in most competency dimensions and work in different roles on different projects in a specific domain.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand customers’ requirements and their technical architecture, designing solutions for customer’s business requirements.
  • Assist in scope definition, requirements analysis, functional/technical design.
  • Assist in the technical proposal process and ensure that information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate, properly defined, and detailed.
  • Develop user interfaces, databases and backend logic for the integration of a labelling system with various third-party systems such as ERPs, WMS, MES or PLC.
  • Perform installation, configuration, deployment, administration, and maintenance of solutions that implement industry standards using cloud and/or on-premises.
  • Create and execute user acceptance testing materials.
  • Assist in labeling process and solution consulting.
  • Proactively communicate statuses to Project Manager including identifying potential roadblocks.
  • Assist in the coordination of project activities such as schedules, subcontractor interactions, report creation, presentation preparation, and status reporting.
  • Provide third level technical support on-site and remotely.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through the effective delivery of services.
  • Instill trustworthy and resourceful relationship between clients, partners and Loftware.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in technology roles.
  • Ability to assess client’s needs and management requirements and creatively provide solutions that address those needs, solve clients’ problems, and add value to the clients’ organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL principles including normalization and stored procedures.
  • SQL Server 2016 and above database creation and management.
  • Windows Server 2016 and above management (IIS, Active Directory).
  • Experience with both object-oriented programming (C# / .NET Framework or Java) and scripting (VBScript, Python, JavaScript).
  • Mobile application development experience is a plus.
  • Familiar with communication channels (TCP/IP, HTTP, RESTful services) and network principles (DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with cloud platforms and technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and take ownership of implementation issues from origination to resolution.
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written including the ability to convey technical principles to a non-technical audience.
  • Thorough in preparing user interface documentation.
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product will meet client needs.
  • Provide basic and advanced solution training. Develop and deliver training material.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology through self-study.
  • Fluent in English language. German, Italian, Spanish or French language is a plus.
