Job Description

As a Cyber Defense Analyst, you will play a crucial role in protecting our clients by proactively identifying and mitigating potential cyber threats. You will work closely with our cybersecurity team to develop and implement robust defense strategies, leveraging your expertise in Intrusion Detection/Protection systems, Endpoint security solutions, and Vulnerability scanning tools.

Key Responsibilities


  • Monitor and Analyze Security Events: Use Intrusion Detection/Protection systems (IDS/IPS) to monitor and analyze security events, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement Endpoint Security Solutions: Deploy and manage advanced endpoint security solutions to protect client systems from malware, ransomware, and other cyber threats.
  • Conduct Vulnerability Scanning: Utilize vulnerability scanning tools to identify and assess security weaknesses in client networks and systems, providing recommendations for remediation.
  • Threat Intelligence and Hunting: Gather and analyze threat intelligence to identify emerging threats and conduct threat hunting activities to detect and mitigate potential intrusions.
  • Incident Response: Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop and Implement Security Policies: Assist in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance the overall security posture of our clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve our defense capabilities.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role with a focus on cyber defense.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Intrusion Detection/Protection systems, Endpoint security solutions, and Vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC are preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
