MDE are hiring for a Technical Trainer to join a prestigious manufacturing business in Banbury

The ideal candidate will have practical experience gained in a factory or FMCG environment and now moved into a training or L&D (Learning and Development) position responsible for the training and assessment of shop floor workers against a company standard management system to cover areas of Continuous Improvement/LEAN, H&S and Quality


In addition to hands on training, you will be responsible for the upkeep of training materials and training schedules to comply with organisational and regulatory requirements.


The Training Expert will be responsible for providing comprehensive internal training. This role emphasizes hands-on technical training, along with planning and organizing both internal and external training requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on, one-to-one, and group training sessions to a high standard, utilizing a train-the-trainer approach when necessary.
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of engagement, excellence, and capability development.
  • Manage the plants competency plan, including the competency matrix and gap reduction, monitoring KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Manager and HR Business Partner to develop and implement a standardized competency management system.
  • Benchmark with internal and external Training Experts to adopt best practices.


Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).
  • Expertise in training, coaching, and assessment methodologies.
  • Experience managing vocational competency management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change effectively.
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
