We have subsequently developed to deliver, nationally, ever since and we now seek an experienced Contract Manager to assist with the continued growth of our Tonbridge painting division, covering the South East.


You’ll be responsible for managing painting and associated repair/refurbishment contracts, values ranging from £2,000 to £1.5 million, for a variety of key clients within Kent, South London and surrounding areas, including local authorities, private schools, and various commercial and public sector arenas.

The Contracts Manager role:

  • You’ll have the opportunity to further build your team, ensuring you are leading by example, motivating, incentivising, and developing individuals- we believe in delivering our work directly, therefore you'll be involved in the recruitment.
  • Acknowledging our trades importance and our commitment and investment to direct delivery is paramount. Installing ownership and responsibility in your team to support the successful delivery of work to the expected
  • Ensure and enforce Health and Safety measures are in place and monitored, for the safety of your team, yourself, and the customers.
  • Communication is key We encourage commercial and operational teams to work closely together to ensure the successful delivery of a contract.
  • You will see the benefit of managing your own time so that you can visit site regularly to maintain productivity and be in the office to ensure procedures and reports are up to date.


What will you bring?

  • Relevant experience in Contract Management in a similar role, ideally within the painting/ decorating sector, although we encourage applications from other backgrounds within the industry
  • Experience in managing direct labour, including development and performance management of a team
  • Demonstrable experience in leading the operational success of a contract - including awareness of budget, managing client relationships and planning programmes of work
  • A trade background (all trades considered to NVQ level 2 or equivalent) preferred but not essential
  • A sound working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
  • The ability to build successful working relationships with customers and employees.
