Application Support Lead


Eames Consulting are a leading Financial Services company who are one of Europe’s leaders in lending services and credit options. We are seeking an experienced Application Support Lead to support a host of bespoke applications that are largely driven by Oracle and some AWS.



What will you be doing?

  • Capturing the internal clients’ requirements for third party integration, configuration and implementing small projects.
  • Proactively managing and monitoring service requests e, ensuring major incidents and critical change are prioritised and dealt with within SLA.
  • Monitoring application performance and stability
  • Managing day to day running of Product Change Portal helpdesk ensuring change is prioritised and delivered to the local teams needs
  • Managing the internal clients expectation by providing updates for resolution of problems or delivery of requirements
  • Providing an escalation-point for internal client and teams
  • Providing ad-hoc specialist support for business systems implementations and projects.
  • Identify and record underlying problems from recurring incidents and major incidents.
  • Provision of technical advice and guidance to business users.
  • Collaborating with relevant application product owners to improve support & communication.
  • Create and maintain solution documentation to support business requirements.
  • Be supportive of product development and product strategy initiatives. Assist internal Operations Consultants, our clients, Group COO and ICT in implementing the business vision


What is required?


  • Several years in a financial services or customer-facing software support role, including acting as a manager / team leader demonstrating experience to work with engineers and technical teams, internally and externally
  • Experience of line management and personnel management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box
  • Ability to prioritise and resolve issues to high standards and within Service Level Agreement timelines
  • Ability to motivate and listen to team members


Education / Training / Qualifications Required

  • A formal tertiary qualification, preferably a completed degree in computer science, business information systems or similar would be ideal
