Freelance / Interior Design / Senior Interior Designer - Remote + In-Studio.


Hi, I’m Andreas, the founder of House of dré I’m looking for experienced freelance interior designers to assist me on a very exciting boutique hospitality project in the UK.


The initial contract would be full time for 2-3 months depending on the start date but there is the possibility of a part time arrangement after this. The hope is that should this collaboration be successful, we would add you to our group of regular freelancers for future work. You will be working as part of a team with at least two other designers and myself.


Roles and responsibilities..

In summary this position would be great for someone who wants to do a bit of everything. You should be highly creative and versatile. You will mostly be responsible for drawing production, FFE design, collecting/organising samples from suppliers and administration of projects on site. I’m looking for someone who has a great eye for design, someone to bounce ideas off of. Hand sketching is a great bonus.


Key Skills & Experience

At least six years of relevant industry experience.

Vectorworks preferred (open to Auto-cad users too).

Photoshop.

In-design.

Sketch-up.


The studio is based in Hackney Downs Studios (E8 2BT). We are part of a creative community of writers, painters, graphic designers, sculptors and many more who share a large space (about 30 of us). It’s an inspiring space for a freelancer to work in, everyone knows each other and lots of collaborations happen. We regularly go out for drinks and lunch and it gives us the advantage of having a university style design studio feel which is a big plus. It’s also where we keep our material samples library. You will be able to use the space as much as you like. If you prefer working from home or a café that’s fine but you can probably expect to be in the studio a min of 2 days per week.


The design studio has a big emphasis on arts & crafts and we seem to be producing art for almost every project we work on now. Any practical skills in making or crafty hobbies are a big plus. Let me know if you have any passions and send over any links to homecraft instagrams and the like.
