The Role: 2nd/3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer:
- As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will working on Microsoft cloud migrations and infrastructure projects of varying sizes.
- You will be responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd line support and work with the remote support team to resolve incidents both remotely and onsite at customer premises.
- You will be given the opportunity to work as a Project Engineer on client builds, prepare endpoint hardware, tailor installations to client requirements, and ensure all technology is set up in line with business standards.
- You will be required to document details of hardware and software configurations.
To Be Successful:
- You will need to have good hands-on technical experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Windows 10.
- You should have some knowledge and understanding of virtualisation (ideally VMware) and backup technologies (ideally Veeam).
- You'll need to be proficient in anti-virus solutions, firewalls, wireless technologies, networking (e.g., VLANs and Layer-3 setup), and key security principles.
- You must have a valid driving license for travel.
- Any experience working for an IT Managed Service Provider would be extremely advantageous.
Location: The role will involve some collaboration with the infrastructure team in the office in Poole with some hybrid working available. Some travel to customer sites across Dorset and Hampshire will also be required from time to time.
Working Hours: The core working hours are between 7.00am – 5.30pm with three working patterns, 07.00am – 3.30pm, 8.30am – 5.00pm and 09.00am – 5.30pm. If successful, the working hours will be discussed at point of offer depending on business requirements and/or your personal circumstances/preferences.
