The Opportunity:

Finatal is working with a very sought-after private equity/credit fund that is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the Portfolio Insights and Analytics team. This is an incredible and unique opportunity to join an exciting firm in the private equity space.

The ideal candidate will have had valuable experience in running and operating financial models for a range of different businesses, across different industries within private equity/private credit.


The Role:

The talented and experienced portfolio manager will take responsibility for managing and monitoring ongoing investments, with responsibilities including:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyse investment performance and support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, identify key metrics, and define reporting requirements.
  • Design and implement data visualisations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate insights and trends.
  • Utilise DAX programming language to manipulate data and create custom calculations within Power BI.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and investors.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in portfolio analytics and reporting.


Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience in financial analysis, portfolio management, or related field.
  • An accounting or other financial professional qualification is preferable.
  • Demonstrable experience building and maintaining financial models in Excel and VBA, using standards similar to FAST.
  • Proficiency in DAX programming language and advanced knowledge of Power BI.
  • Experience with SQL and Python is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage different stakeholder requirements and multiple requests at one time.
  • Confident team-player – able to take the initiative and work both independently and as part of the broader team.
