Environmental Manager



Opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join a Tier 1 Global Civil Engineering contractor on a permanent basis.


The purpose of the role is to create the very best environmental standards for the business across multiple civil engineering projects. You will manage a team and be the lead in creating a culture of best practices in projects.


Key duties:


•Manage onsite Environmental Site inspections

•Review & monitor compliance and other company/divisional standards.

•Manage and oversee monitoring equipment, collect, process and interpret data

•Manage onsite Environmental Site inspections

•Ensure that the Project Environmental Management System is implemented and operated on site through a programme of checking and auditing.

• Prepare monthly environmental reports for the project

• Develop robust and comprehensive mitigation measures to deal with environmental risks

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and client representatives to ensure collaborative working relationships


Personal criteria:


• Experience with either a consulting engineer, civil engineering contractor or a specialist environmental contractor.

• Broad knowledge of all aspects of environmental design and works and impacts on 3rd Parties.

• Member of IEMA and working towards chartered status
