### Role Overview:


As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering engineering design packages that meet the required standards of time, cost, and quality. Under the direction of a Principal Engineer or Senior Engineers, you will provide skilled engineering support and may supervise a small team of junior engineers and drafting resources.

**Design Deliverables:** Produce high-quality design deliverables such as drawings, reports, and calculations, adhering to agreed safety, cost, quality, and time standards.

**Expert Guidance:** Offer advice and guidance on issues pertinent to your discipline.

**Continuous Learning:** Stay updated with the latest developments in your field and contribute to the skill development of your colleagues.

**Process Improvement:** Participate in the development and application of technical and managerial processes within your work area.

**Compliance:** Adhere to all relevant legislative, regulatory, and company policy standards and processes.


### Qualifications & Experience:


**Essential:**

  • A minimum of a 2:1 degree in a relevant engineering discipline with substantial design office experience.
  • Alternatively, a lower professional qualification (e.g., BTEC) typically gained through an apprenticeship, coupled with extensive design office experience.
  • Proficiency in applying engineering theory and drawing practices in your discipline.
  • Working knowledge of national and international codes, specifications, and standards
  • Competence in using 3D CAD systems, preferably Inventor/Vault.


**Desirable:**


- Familiarity with engineering design stages and processes, including design reviews and HAZOPs.
