The Role


Accountable for the operation of the Engineering Lab areas, this position focuses on supporting the engineering department in the design, development, prototyping, and manufacturing of new connectivity solutions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversees the operation and maintenance of departmental lab areas and storage facilities
  • Oversees and documents equipment calibration
  • Assembles and builds samples and rapid prototyping based on 3D printing and machining
  • Performs development, testing & inspection activities to support the department
  • Verifies and validates new product design for manufacturing feasibility
  • Supports the introduction of new products into full production


Qualification and experience


The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in a similar role and preferably hold an engineering qualification. Essential qualifications include hands-on experience in prototype assembly and testing, along with proven expertise in cable harnessing and assembly


Essential:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Hands-on experience in prototype assembly and testing
  • Proven experience with cable harnessing and assembly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel abroad when the business requires this of you


Desirable:

  • Engineering qualification
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping, including 3D printing, lathe, and milling machine usage
  • Experience with new product introduction
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
