The Team:


Their Marketing department’s strategic objective is to provide marketing, digital and social media support to Talent Management, Live, TV Production and Distribution divisions. Focusing on campaign planning and management, content creation, reporting and analysis, data management, branding positioning, merchandise and licencing, the aim is to maximise income and outreach for their talent and brands.


The vast combined knowledge of the twelve-member team contributes to the success of their division. They are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to enhance their talent and brands' exposure.


Key Responsibilities:


The Junior Content Producer will work in the Marketing department to assist in the creation of video and graphic assets for Avalon’s social accounts, and promotional video content/videos for Promotions’ marketing campaigns, across our live theatre, stand-up comedy shows and TV productions.


The role will require creative thinking and an ability to work on several high-profile accounts simultaneously. This role will suit someone for whom the world of social media is second nature, who is looking to grow their creative and technical skills whilst working on some of the most notable comedy and entertainment brands in the UK.


Reporting to the Digital Content Producer, this role will include:


  • The production of videos and marketing assets from the ideation stage, through to video editing optimising for social media, and creating arresting copy catering for various tones of voice.
  • Reversioning approved existing assets for multiple digital derivatives.
  • As required, assist the creative team in the production of promotional video, optimising for social media formats.
  • Creating digital assets for their social channels.
  • Assist the Creative team with shooting and editing content with talent, occasionally out of office hours.
  • Assist the Creative team with planning and producing video shoots with talent (occasionally out of office hours).
  • Edit promotional videos and digital marketing materials.
  • Pitch creative ideas to talent and talent managers and work collaboratively to develop content for marketing and press campaigns.
  • Content planning and productivity management - ensuring social schedules are in place and adhered to.
  • Communicating with other areas of the business to ensure any opportunities for our digital output are exploited.
  • Monitoring social trends and creating reactive content to capitalise upon them.
  • Assist in the development of original digital video content ideas for marketing campaigns and social media exploitation.


About you:


  • Experience with filmmaking and video editing, and experience working with Premiere Pro video software is essential. Ability to shoot and edit content for YouTube and social media using Canon C300 or similar.
  • Skilled at creating and developing concepts for campaigns. Have a keen awareness of current trends in digital advertising and design.
  • Understanding of established and emerging social media platforms and how to optimise content for each one.
  • Experienced using relevant software – Adobe Creative Suite - Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • A passion for comedy, the arts and/or live entertainment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and confident presentation skills when pitching ideas to talent or talent managers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are key with a clear creative vision, while remaining open to others’ ideas.
