THE ROLE

The team are looking for an experienced digital marketer to develop and execute the UK’s Digital and Media Strategy, encompassing social media, all Paid Media, E-retail, Search, and their own-websites, plus the digital acceleration required to ensure that business is well positioned for future success in the UK and Ireland.


A key focus will be on transforming the online visibility and discoverability of their brands, as well as engagement levels on social media. You’ll be collaborating with colleagues across various teams and countries on the annual campaign plans and activities in line with brand strategy and commercial plans & objectives, whilst working alongside the rest of the Marketing team to develop the Paid Media strategy e.g. OOH and Print.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Development:

  • As a key stakeholder, you will actively contribute to the devising of the business's digital strategy, steer best practice in digital user experience and content through experience, industry best practice and analytic data.
  • Explore the utilisation of market leading, multi-channel communication developments and technologies to keep all their audiences informed, engaged, and connected with the business.
  • Devise and deliver an effective content marketing strategy, securing feedback, endorsement, and support from key stakeholders, tailored to audience, brand and key themes.
  • Develop and execute a social media strategy for the UK & Ireland, including any business cases required to make structural changes to the way the business operates.


Team Management:

  • Overall responsibility for managing, leading, and developing the Digital Marketing team (one direct report currently).
  • Regularly meet with the teams to define and manage digital development.
  • Lead the content, web, and related areas to deliver industry leading digital experience and traffic, and reputation enhancing content that meets the strategic objectives of the business, supported by analytics.
  • Drive innovation and encourage the wider Marketing team to seek out and identify new trends in digital, including technical enhancement, content creation and deployment.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to support the development of their E-retailers and Amazon through Brand assets and activations, aligned with the overall marketing strategy.


Digital Performance Management:

  • Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns, tracking conversion rates, and working with the wider marketing team to make improvements to the website.
  • Execution of brand level digital reporting, proactively managing optimisations based on learnings.
  • Utilising a range of techniques including paid search, social media, and SEO.
  • Optimize online sales and social commerce by maximizing the conversion of traffic into volume and value.
  • Ownership of brand Digital Tracker and optimizing return on investment.


Online Brand Management:

  • Ensure adherence to and implementation of the strategy across their digital infrastructures and in all copy and content creation, adhering to appropriate sign-off procedures.
  • Develop the brand image and visibility by enriching online content e.g. editorial content, product descriptions, and images.
  • Prioritise the key digital activations on the brand and seek new opportunities.


Website Management:

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the brand website – including content updates (working with brand team), technical fixes (raising tickets for global) & SEO excellence (collaborating with global team).
  • Secure efficiency and governance by integrating IT-tools (e.g. PIM/DAM/Content bank)


Budgetary Management

  • Responsible for planning and budgetary control of digital marketing.
  • Play an active role in any committees and working groups where digital guidance is required.
  • Manage relationships with third party digital agencies and suppliers.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Ideally worked in a corporate blue-chip (FMCG / Beauty) as-well as an SME or start-up, to demonstrate hands-on experience in leading strategic thinking in digital.
  • Approx. 10 years of experience in Marketing, ideally across Trade/Shopper Marketing, Digital and Brand - D2C experience preferable.
  • Hands-on digital marketing experience (content creation and activation).
  • Entrepreneurial, curious, flexible, with great communication skills and teamwork skills.
  • Media planning / buying experience would be a bonus.
  • A business-related degree is preferable.
