Role Description
We are now looking for an additional full-time Software Technical Project Manager with Business Analysis experience to join our team.
You will be managing multiple projects in parallel through the entire software lifecycle, from leading requirements capture workshops / sessions with clients, translating their business needs into clear unambiguous solutions, through to development, testing and delivery by your small team of software developers, designers and QA’s
Some of your projects will be new, some will be BAU on existing projects. For all projects, you will be working closely with clients to help define the right technical solutions, creating and monitoring project plans, defining Jira tickets with tasks for your team, priorotising and ensuring software delivery on time and on specification.
You MUST have experience in project managing software projects, be client-facing, creating project plans and managing software delivery in order to be considered for this role; having a technical / software development background will be a distinct advantage.
Whilst we follow Agile as our delivery methodology, you will be expected to be pragmatic, flexible and insightful when dealing with clients to deliver the best technical and practical solutions for them, often under a strict timeline and budget. A number of our clients are startups and project management experience within a startup will be a distinct bonus.
The role can be home or office-based, however periodic access to our London-based (Camden) office for client meetings and socials is important.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, processes and project management methodologies (inc Agile)
- Technical background with knowledge of software technologies
- Proficient in project management tools including Jira
- Experience in business analysis; running definition workshops to gather requirements directly from clients; translating business needs into technical solutions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills - fluency in verbal and written English is essential
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritise tasks
- Solid organisational skills and attention to detail
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field would be a bonus.
