About the Company:
I am currently supporting Wythenshawe Community Housing Group with their search for a new Development Project Manager to focus around Regeneration. If you are looking for a new role, there is no better time to join the development team at WCHG, not only do they have an expanding development program, there is also going to be big opportunities to be involved in high profile redevelopment and regeneration schemes, such as the Wythenshawe Civic Regeneration Program.
About the Role:
Reporting in to the Head Of Development, you will be responsible for assisting in identifying and then acquiring land and property, as well as providing effective contract management and financial control across various projects for all different tenures. You will manage a range of projects that are focused on delivering development schemes across the areas we operate in ensuring there are arrangements for the provision of affordable housing within these schemes.
Responsibilities:
- To be successful in this role you will need to have significant experience in dealing with a range of complex and contentious matters requiring a consistently high degree of support, persuasion and advocacy and an awareness of major policy objectives.
- Good communication skills and the ability to negotiate successfully are therefore paramount.
- You will need to have a proven track record in managing within the public sector and delivering regen projects.
- You will represent WCHG with external stakeholders and partners to ensure smooth project delivery and you will be expected to manage risk within your area of responsibility and ensure all stakeholders are aware of and comply with relevant regulations and procedures.
- At all times you will be expected to implement robust contract management procedures and work towards ensuring projects are sustainable and income streams are developed to ensure long term investment.
Qualifications:
At this level we would expect a degree level qualification and ideally accreditation through a relevant professional body.
Required Skills:
Significant experience in dealing with complex and contentious matters, good communication skills, negotiation skills, proven track record in managing within the public sector, delivering regen projects, degree level qualification, accreditation through a relevant professional body, full driving licence.
Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence is required.
