Meiyume is now looking for a Product Manager to cover a maternity leave for approx 6 - 12 months. The role based in the Trowbridge, UK site and you will need to be able to work on site at least 3 days per week and in line with customer needs. This role will offer an exciting opportunity for someone ready to further their career.


The Role:

  • Responsible for introduction of new products into the business including creation and maintenance of the critical paths to achieve the agreed launch date with the customer.
  • Responsible for chairing the weekly NPD meeting, ensuring that NPD notes are up to date and all commercial actions complete.
  • Liaise with the cross functional NPD team to make sure all NPD actions are completed within a timely manner. Escalating any issues to the relevant Managers if actions are not completed and highlighting risk to the business if the end date is at risk.
  • Responsible for the generation of product costings
  • Create development costs and submissions to customers for approval.
  • Responsible for the updating of EGAP, product timelines, product numbers and project detail.
  • Responsible for submitting all new projects to the business sign off forum for approval.
  • Ensure all project files by brand / range / product are maintained and achieved on a seasonal basis.
  • Attend or host Customer meetings with Senior Product Manager or Commercial Manager.
  • Ensure all administration tasks are completed accurately and within a timely manner – BOM’s / Price Lists / Bulk Code Notification Forms.
  • Responsible for the submission of Pack copy, Artwork and Proofing to the correct timings within the Critical Path.
  • Ensure all Quality Standards are agreed within the customers approval process (Gold, Silver / Pre-Production Approval) and all QA samples are approved within a timely manner.
  • Work with the SPM / Commercial Manager and Innovation Manager to identify areas of opportunity for New business, through gap and trend analysis.
  • Manage and Mentor the Commercial Assistant (if applicable), to ensure the Assistant


Education and Experience:

  • A level and/or Degree Level in fashion or marketing
  • Spoken and written English Language
  • Excellent level of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • A level standard education - minimum


Preferred Criteria

  • Experience in a Marketing or Product Management
  • Marketing knowledge from a course/degree or job experience
  • Project Management experience with knowledge of in project methodology such as Prince 2, Agile or APM
  • Able to work as part of a team and demonstrate team working attributes
  • Excellent communication skills – able to communicate to a variety of different stakeholders
