A global Defence client with HQ’s around the U.K are looking to bring onboard either a Security cleared or willing to be security cleared Software Engineer with experience working with either Rust, C++, C, Python or Java to join the team on a remote First working basis with some travel to One of the southern sites in the U.K.


The successful candidate will be working predominately in Rust, so someone working with languages such as C/C++/Java or Python that are interested in working in Rust, are encouraged to apply.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Working in an Agile/DevSecOps environment for the development of new and modified software code/test modules as part of a wider product solution
  • Contribute to a continuous learning process in relation to the DevSecOps methodology
  • Lead and/or participate in technical discussions and meetings on an as-required basis
  • Provide estimates, status updates and other pertinent information related to current and future work


Key skills

  • Software development skills in a language such as Java, Python, C++ or Rust (Any level of experience is beneficial)
  • Practical experience of developing software using a cloud-based development environment following an agile methodology
  • Familiarity with common software development concepts including virtualisation, automated testing, CI/CD techniques and configuration control
