Day to day duties and responsibilities:


  • Ensuring the effective management of energy resources to meet client’s objectives and targets
  • Client relationship management, working closely with clients to understand their sustainability needs and provide tailored solutions building maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, offering sustainable solutions to meet client objectives.
  • Identify, develop and implement new energy related opportunities and support operations and maintenance teams
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring all energy and sustainability related tasks are carried out to meet SLAs and compliance
  • Coordinate activities across the business unit and motivate and train people in energy management
  • Develop and implement clear energy performance strategies for a range of buildings and clients
  • Promote energy efficiency and provide advice and support for the development of energy-efficient practices.
  • Work with the operations teams to improve the energy performance of buildings, particularly through the application of advanced control systems,
  • Provide full feasibility studies of costed initiatives and projects to reduce energy usage.
  • Manage the sustainability team, providing guidance and support to team members
  • Support project teams to manage the implementation of initiatives.
  • Collect and present Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting of Utilities, Waste and Carbon Emissions, taking full ownership of data management platforms.


What are we looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (sustainability, environmental science, engineering)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the built environment sector.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of EPCs, EPC improvement reports, BREEAM, LCA, Fit Well, and Solar PV.
  • Extensive experience in energy management and/or the application of Building Management Systems
  • Working knowledge of BMS and control theory
  • Extensive knowledge of the principal techniques and technologies that support the efficient use of energy
  • Understanding the principles behind HVAC, refrigeration and lighting operation and system design / integration
  • Competency in current benchmark techniques and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of customer operations, business drivers, financials and specialist sources of information, legislative requirements where necessary
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
