Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper to maintain and manage a beautiful six-bedroom residence in Grouville, Jersey.

The Principal of the home frequently travels, making Jersey their main residence but they are not always present.

As the Housekeeper, you will ensure that the home remains organised, clean and welcoming.Applicants will ideally be dog lovers, as the Principal has two beloved dogs.

Job duties

Responsibilities of the Live-in Housekeeper near Grouville include:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the 6-bedroom house, including regular cleaning, tidying, and upkeep of all living areas
  • Handle all laundry and ironing tasks efficiently and with care
  • Provide basic cooking as needed, ensuring that the principals dietary preferences are met
  • Run errands, including grocery shopping and other necessary tasks, ensuring the home is well-stocked and organised
  • Manage and oversee tradesmen and service providers, ensuring that their work is completed to a high standard
  • Look after two small, well-behaved dogs, including providing overnight care when the principal is away
  • Spot and address maintenance needs and other tasks as they arise, demonstrating keen attention to detail
  • Maintain a high standard of household presentation and organisation
Candidates must be/have:
  • Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable
  • A valid driving licence - in order to run errands and complete necessary shopping
  • Comfortable with pet care, as the Principal has two dogs
  • Experience in basic cooking and meal preparation
  • Reliable and trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Attention to detail and proactive approach to household management
  • Flexible and happy with overnight stays, when required
  • Willingness to live on the property in a one-bedroom cottage provided for accommodation
Accommodation
  • A one-bedroom cottage located on the property will be provided as part of the role
Hours

Full-time, depending on the Principals schedule.

Salary

£35,000 + one-bedroom cottage provided
