Job Overview:

The Sales and Rental Manager for Live Event Products is responsible for driving revenue through both the sale and rental of event-related equipment such as audio-visual systems, projection, signal management, and other related products. This role involves cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships with event organisers and production companies, while also ensuring the smooth logistics of rental services. The manager will work closely with the operations team to ensure that all rentals are delivered and set up on time and in perfect condition.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a solid understanding of the live events industry, outstanding customer service skills, and a proven ability to meet sales targets. You will play a key role in positioning our products and services as indispensable to our clients’ event success.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Business Development:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive the sale and rental of live event products.
  • Identify new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and attending industry events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with event planners, production companies, venues, and other potential clients.
  • Create and present tailored sales proposals to meet the specific needs of clients.
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients to maximize profitability.
  1. Rental Management:
  • Oversee the rental inventory, ensuring products are in optimal condition for rental use.
  • Coordinate logistics, including delivery, setup, and collection of rental products to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Manage the scheduling and availability of rental equipment, ensuring there is no overlap or conflict with booking dates.
  • Handle rental inquiries, providing timely and accurate quotes to potential customers.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure the smooth execution of rental orders and on-site support as needed.
  1. Customer Relationship Management:
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, troubleshooting any issues, and following up post-event.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with clients to secure repeat business.
  • Regularly check in with past clients to offer new products and services, ensuring customer retention and satisfaction.
  1. Market Research & Strategy:
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure our product line remains competitive.
  • Provide feedback to management on market conditions, customer needs, and product demand to support product development and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and drive brand visibility within the event space.
  1. Inventory & Financial Management:
  • Track inventory levels, sales data, and rental metrics to ensure adequate stock and to forecast demand.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for the sales and rental department, ensuring profitability and cost control.
  • Report on sales and rental performance, providing insights on areas for improvement and growth.


Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (3-5+ years) in sales, rental, or business development, preferably within the live events, entertainment, or production industry.
  • Strong understanding of live event products such as audio-visual equipment, projection and signal management etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and develop successful client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of rental management software or CRM tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and events as required.
