Job overview:


As an ESG Consultant, you will lead and execute sustainability and ESG consulting projects, guiding clients from initial engagement through implementation and review. Your responsibilities include conducting in-depth sustainability assessments, crafting customised ESG strategies, and facilitating workshops to educate and engage external and internal teams. You will work very closely with the ESG Lead to manage various projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into broader financial transformation efforts.


What will you be doing?


Here’s an idea of what your day will look like:


  • Lead and deliver sustainability and ESG consulting projects, from initial client engagement through to implementation and review.
  • Conduct detailed sustainability assessments and develop tailored ESG strategies for clients across various industries.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions, including our ESG Labs, to engage and educate client teams on sustainability best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on sustainability and ESG matters.
  • Work on Materiality Assessments, Sustainability Strategy creation, Climate Scenario Analysis and other client deliverable projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within VantagePoint to integrate sustainability into broader finance transformation projects.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to clients, highlighting key findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest sustainability trends, regulations, and technologies to continuously improve our service offerings.


A summary of the kind of person we’re looking for


  • 3 - 4 years of proven experience in sustainability consulting, ESG strategy development, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements (e.g., CSRD, TCFD, GRI).
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to sustainability challenges.
  • A brilliant multitasker with exceptional organizational skills.
  • A natural when it comes to communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
