Can you help us deliver our mission? Are you as passionate about preventative healthcare in the livestock sector as we are? We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team of Ruminant Veterinary Advisors to promote best practice use of our health care solutions, including an extensive portfolio of ruminant biopharma and monitoring products.
You will provide specialist veterinary expertise, working alongside marketing colleagues to develop, promote and implement preventative healthcare programmes and solutions, designed to leverage our ruminant product portfolio. Priority is given to creating preventative healthcare solutions; however, field support of these solutions will still be a requirement.
In the fulfilment of this position, it is expected that travel to our Head Office at Milton Keynes will be required on a regular basis. The position will also necessitate a degree of travel which will in some circumstances require overnight stays away from home.
Responsibilities:
To support marketing in the creation of sector specific prevention solutions, designed to grow market share and penetration of our company products. To include:
- Identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT analysis) for the products
- Taking lead technical responsibility for assigned products in the creation of sector specific disease prevention programmes.
- Developing networks of benefit to our Animal Health business, including working relationships to include national stakeholders, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and academic institutions.
- Ensure compliance of both our Animal Health business and competitors within the NOAH Code of Practice and the Veterinary Medicines Regulations
- Proposing and managing trials to support the product portfolio
To be seen internally and externally as our technical lead for the designated sector. To include:
- Speaking at relevant meetings, congresses and exhibitions
- Publishing articles in both industry magazines and peer-reviewed journals
- Presenting trials and providing written material or verbal presentations
- Collaborating with internal national account and market access teams to roll-out prevention solutions within corporate and buying group customers, and food supply chain partners
- Provide our Animal Health business with comprehensive in-house technical training at various levels to ensure that all staff are trained to their necessary level to ensure effective promotion of prevention solutions and products
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:
- UK recognised Veterinary Medicine degree essential and Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
- Significant experience with ruminants in a UK veterinary practice environment
- Experience of implementing disease prevention programmes
- Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with a wide range of customers and team members
- Excellent communicator (verbally and in writing) clearly and succinctly demonstrating customer centricity at all times
- Quick to learn and adapt; ready to learn and ask lots of questions, demonstrating a growth mindset
