Our client is an international manufacturer and distributor of chemical solutions with a Head Office in USA and regional manufacturing operations in England, Belgium and South Africa.


As the result of an internal reorganisation, the company is looking to appoint a Site Director at their operation in south-west England.


Role


As the Site Director, you will lead, every aspect of manufacturing. This will include cross-functional leadership and acting as the crucial liaison with leadership to achieve final objectives. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the manufacturing site, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.


This role reports to the EMEIA Operations Director.


Specific responsibilities include:


  • Organize and optimize the departmental management structure, cost and teams.
  • Foster a high-performance culture where employees excel in quality and efficiency, aligning with the company's core values.
  • Develop an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Drive processes to optimise productivity, safety, and quality, increasing production output, capacity, and flexibility while minimizing costs.
  • Oversee manufacturing planning, scheduling, processing, materials management and quality adherence to optimise the client's production performance.
  • Deploy resources effectively, introduce new technologies, and manage capital investments in line with strategic initiatives.


Person


This is a general management role so, in addition to a successful track record of improving the performance of a business where UK COMAH regulations prevail, we are looking for the following experience:


• Educated to Degree level within a relevant discipline and/or holding a relevant professional technical qualification.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a general production or operations leadership role within a manufacturing and/or chemical industry environment.
