Due to an exciting time of company growth Zenergi are looking for a Metering & Data Services Contract Specialist to join their growing Operational Team, providing an opportunity to support customers and internal teams. Reporting into the Metering & Data Services Manager, you will be responsible for developing opportunities and selling Meter Operator (MOP), Data Collector (DC) and Meter Asset Manager (MAM) contracts to our customers either directly or supporting the Customer Success Managers (CSMs), Commercial & Procurement teams. The role involves identifying potential sales opportunities, liaising with customers and the internal teams to promote and sell contracts. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have access and visibility to their consumption data as well as increasing revenue for the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Relationship Management
- Collaborate with customers to develop a deep understanding of their metering and data services needs and align our contracting solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure enhanced customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, such as Customer Success Managers, Commercial & Procurement, to provide comprehensive solutions to customers.
- Ensuring regular communication liaising with key support and service functions in the Zenergi Group addressing any metering and data services concerns.
Contract negotiation
- Collaborate with the customers and internal teams to negotiate contract terms and apply the most effective metering and data pricing strategy.
- Create and manage ongoing MOP, DC and MAM contracts.
- Ensure seamless contract implementation and service delivery.
- Conduct contract reviews to identify opportunities for contract expansion or upselling or additional MOP, DC and MAM services.
- Ensure timely contract renewals and proactively address any potential issues or obstacles.
Customer growth and retention
- Develop sales plans aligned with customer opportunity, outlining recommended actions, targets, and timelines.
- Analyse customer data to identify areas of opportunity for metering and data services.
- Proactively identify and target key customers to promote and sell MOP, DC and MAM services.
- Develop your portfolio strategy taking care to understand your customers metering and data services needs, develop customer growth strategies and execute plans to deliver the scope of services offered.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and presentations for upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Conduct regular reviews to assess customer satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and recommend tailored solutions.
- Track and report key performance metrics, providing regular updates to management on progress and achievements.
- Monitor metering and data services industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to stay informed about potential changes in the market.

Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in the energy industry, specifically in metering services.
- Experience in managing MOP, DC, or MAM contracts is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in sales and contract management.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in energy management or related fields would be an advantage.
