We seek a friendly, organised, event-loving person to join our growing team to manage our popular B2B events.


What’s the role?

  • Create all events on our website, Eventbrite and Facebook
  • Promote all events via social media & email
  • Proactive calls and emails to invite potential guests
  • Create unique event graphics using participant logos
  • Firm-up registrations via email and voice calls (approx 100 calls per event)
  • Guest management: cancellations, dietary requirements etc
  • Sponsor liaison with event joining details
  • Name badge creation and management
  • Venue liaison: menus, final numbers, event format, contract review, payments
  • In-person attendance at 35+ events a year including hosting, presenting, sponsor liaison
  • Capture footage of each event and share on social media
  • Post-event follow-up, surveys, data provision etc
  • Develop bespoke events offering, promoting to the travel trade
  • Assist on existing bespoke events
  • Attendance at trade events as required


What you’ll need

  • Highly organised, low-stress approach to handling many events at different stages
  • Firm, professional liaison with 3rd party venue teams to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Friendly, positive, ‘can do’ attitude to ensure guest and sponsor satisfaction
  • Ability and enthusiasm to travel solo around the UK and overnight for two nights at a time during event weeks
  • IT-savvy e.g. WordPress, Mailchimp, Facebook, CMS, & Eventbrite
  • Outgoing personality, comfortable hosting events with warmth and humour
  • B2B events and or travel trade experience preferred but not essential
  • Ideally you are located in the Midlands, London or South East with easy access to the UK rail network

Who are we?

Travel Gossip is a fast-growing travel trade media brand delivering B2B news, marketing and events to the UK travel industry.


We run many networking events around the UK bringing together travel agents and leading travel suppliers and destinations to learn about products and build connections in a relaxed social environment.


We are hosting 50 events this year with more planned for 2025.




Start date

Flexible. Ideally, we need someone in post by September but can consider earlier/later.

We have a big company day on 27th August in London which we would want you to attend regardless of start date. We can consider a part-time arrangement.
