We are currently looking for an assistant building manager to join the team and support the day-to-day operation of our commercial portfolio, support staff and contractors.


The position requires someone who has a can-do, hands on, helpful attitude to provide the best service we can with excellent skills in resolving any challenges that may arise. Being well presented and engaging will be key to the success of this role and have a mode of transport to be able to move between buildings when needed. The candidates’ responsibilities will include reporting and actioning any issues or concerns regarding the properties, maintain and continue to build relationships with tenants, support staff and contractors alike. The candidate will be the face of the building and landlord and will be expected to provide an excellent service.

Job Purpose:

The assistant building manager will play a crucial roll in problem solving, coordinating matters between tenants the building manager and contractors, whilst ensuring the properties remain compliant in line with our fire risk and health and safety reports and working within the service charge budget.

Key duties will include:

· Inspect property condition and coordinate maintenance activities or breakdowns.

· Assist tenants and contractors with queries in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.

· Answering and actioning any calls or emails and filing accordingly.

· Be a point of contact for facilities and any visiting contractors.

· Carry out regular checks of the building to ensure maintenance teams are carrying out tasks as per their PPM agreements, including escalation of any challenges.

· Assist with the management of contractors or ad hoc projects at the property.

· Organise any remedial works in line with current health and safety reports.

· Update and ensure we have all latest contractor insurances, risk, and method statements on file.

· Attend M&E audit meetings with building manager.

· Assist with administration such as invoicing against the service charge budget.

· Attend weekly conference calls with the building manager and support team.

· Any training will be provided where necessary.



This position is based working a 5-day week (Mon-Fri) between the hours of 0830 -1700.

You will be asked to cover the building manager when on annual leave, however this will be pre-arranged and organised prior. The nature of this position can sometimes require taking calls or emails outside of these hours, but the concierge teams will assist during these times also.
