OceanTech Jobs are seeking several skilled and experienced individuals to join our clients electrical team as a Electrical Technician.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and wiring of various electrical components, ensuring adherence to correct sequences and specifications. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement activities and we can offer relocation packages for candidates outside of the North East region.


Day-to-day:

The day-to-day responsibilities will include interpreting electrical drawings, assembling and wiring various components, and actively participating in continuous improvement activities within the electrical team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and wiring of control cabins
  • Assembly and wiring of subsea assemblies (e.g., Junction boxes, electronic control units)
  • Machine wiring of surface equipment (e.g., umbilical winches, A-Frames)
  • Assembly and wiring of small accurate components
  • Instigating continuous improvement activities


Qualifications:

  • HNC qualification or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong experience in Panel Wiring and Machine wiring working to Electrical drawings
  • Understanding of the requirements for the correct assembly of all electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Experience in stripping, crimping, and terminating all cables
  • Health and safety driven, a team player, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment


Benefits:

The role pays up to £39,200 (depending on experience) alongside some amazing benefits.

  • 4.5 day working week
  • Any overtime worked is payable at 1.33 x basic rate. Overtime is readily available at the moment but can not be guaranteed.
  • Potential for 5% bonus based on company results.
  • 25 days’ holiday per annum, plus statutory holidays.

  • Health insurance through the company healthcare scheme (BUPA). – after 3 months
