Role and Responsibilities
- Preparing and painting visual carbon fibre and other surfaces to a high standard, both primed and unprimed
- Preparing component surfaces using aqua blasters, orbital sanders and manual sanding techniques
- Following standard operating procedures and visual aids to ensure consistency and quality
- Masking components prior to paint application using masking tapes and paper
- Mixing paint by volume and viscosity to approved documentation and specifications
- Applying paint by spray techniques to the required PQS
- Mixing paints and lacquers in accordance with technical data sheets
- Maintaining and cleaning painting/lacquering equipment
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in automotive and/or aerospace paint spraying is highly desirable
- Strong skills in surface preparation and knowledge of paint application techniques
- Experience in mixing paints and lacquers, with a particular advantage for those familiar with matt lacquers
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions, including technical data sheets and visual aids
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in all aspects of work
- Effective team player with a positive, 'can-do' attitude, able to collaborate closely with colleagues and work independently when needed
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback professionally
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability, with a consistent attendance record
- Maintain a professional, accountable, and proactive attitude at all times
Additional Information
Working pattern. Monday to Friday, 8am until 4:30pm
Overtime. Available
Salary. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience
Other. Free on-site parking
