Overall Purposes:

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Course Leader for Digital Marketing to lead the development and delivery of our Digital Marketing programmes. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of aspiring digital marketers and ensure that the curriculum reflects the rapidly evolving digital landscape.


Key Responsibilities:

Course Leadership

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and management of Digital Marketing courses, ensuring they meet academic, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor course performance, student engagement, and satisfaction, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Provide leadership and support to teaching staff, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Teaching and Learning

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching sessions using a variety of innovative and inclusive methods.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback to students to promote learning and progression.
  • Incorporate practical, real-world scenarios and case studies to enhance student understanding.


Student Support

  • Regularly review and update course content to reflect current trends and technologies in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, social media, content marketing, data analytics, and emerging tools.
  • Embed employability skills, digital certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot), and practical project opportunities within the curriculum.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements.

Management and Administration

  • Coordinate staff schedules, timetables, and resources to ensure smooth course delivery.
  • Lead team meetings, provide mentorship to staff, and contribute to performance reviews.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the course offering.


Key Skills and Qualifications for Successful Applicant:

  • Qualifications at least to master’s level in the relevant subject area (e.g., digital marketing, marketing, data analytics, social media, content strategy, or a closely related field) and will ideally hold a PhD or be able to demonstrate equivalent high-level professional experience in the discipline.
  • Teaching qualifications/accreditation: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc.
  • Experience of working in the industry of your subject areas with extensive research works to the relevant fields.
  • Experience in developing and leading digital marketing-related courses in collaboration with industry partners.
