The role


Our client is a CRM system with a 360 degree view of a customers’ interactions with an organisation, holding ticketing, marketing and fundraising data all in the same place. This means that our clients have enormous potential at their fingertips when it comes to data and strategy.


The role of a Reporting Specialist is to help realise that potential, and support our clients and partners to understand and analyse their data. We offer a custom report-building service as part of our Solution, and as a Reporting Specialist you will work closely with clients to help them get the most out of this. You will be building custom reports to briefs, at the same time as helping us to improve and standardise our approaches to reporting and data analysis. You will also be a key part of clients client success, and help onboard, train and upskill the wider team.


Key accountabilities


  • Ensure communicative service for our clients, providing high quality and robust reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure any report requests assigned to them are being appropriately moved forwards and resolved.
  • To hold expertise in the subject of building reports, providing internal support and training across other departments.

Responsibilities


  • To build reports for our clients to agreed specifications.
  • Ensure standardised reports (e.g. from our Report Library) are used wherever possible.
  • Approach custom reports with a view to make them maintainable, robust and as standardised as possible.
  • Work closely with our clients and partners to prioritise key requests and work efficiently whilst dealing with multiple deadlines.
  • Work with clients to understand the desired outcomes from their report requests alongside consultative support on how to analyse the right data in their system in the best way.
  • Deliver internal training for new starters, as well as provide ongoing support and coaching across the global client services team.
  • Undertake key reporting and data-themed projects to help us standardise approaches and maximise efficiency.


Key Requirements


  • An emerging or developed interest in manipulating and using data to solve problems.
  • A curiosity about software systems.
  • An appetite and ability to learn more about building reports and editing report templates. We’ll provide specific training and context here.
  • Experience of managing relationships and working with clients.
  • Strong prioritisation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • An ability to work individually, prioritising workload and working through client requests.
  • An ability to work collaboratively to drive projects to completion and evaluation.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of using MS Excel to explore and interrogate data.
  • Some familiarity with the basic principles of coding, which could be Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, VBA, SQL or another coding language.
