Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Service and Installation Engineer to join their team

Established in 2006 by Father and Son duo, the company are suppliers of commercial and industrial laundry equipment.

As a Service and Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial laundry equipment at customer locations. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient operation of laundry equipment, minimising downtime, and providing exceptional customer service.

Please note there is the requirement for regular overnight stays including around the United Kingdom and Europe (you will need a valid passport).

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Proven experience as a Service and Installation Engineer, preferably in the commercial or industrial laundry industry
  • Familiarity with a wide range of laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve equipment issues efficiently
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites as required
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual tasks
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering are preferred

What will your role look like?

  • Install, commission, and test commercial and industrial laundry equipment at customer sites
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and prevent equipment breakdowns
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, both mechanical and electrical, and perform necessary repairs
  • Replace faulty components, such as motors, pumps, valves, and control panels, as needed
  • Calibrate and adjust equipment settings to ensure accurate operation and efficient performance
  • Keep accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including completed work orders, parts used, and hours worked
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers, answering their questions and guiding them on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Collaborate with other team members, including sales and customer service, to provide a seamless customer experience
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new equipment models, and technological advancements to enhance your expertise
