Your new company:

I am currently working with an Earthworks Contractor that specialises in ground remediation and enabling work projects on a national scale. The head office is based in the North West. However, they operate across the UK, providing essential land remediation and site preparation services to the construction and commercial sectors. Since being founded in the 2000s, they have swiftly established themselves as the preferred remediation contractor for many of the UK’s leading house builders and main contractors.

Your new role:

With continued business growth, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor who understands remediation and earthworks/drainage packages. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for earthworks and remediation projects.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes.
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Provide support in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on earthworks and remediation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Office, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software

What you'll get in return:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • The chance to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a positive impact on the environment.

This role will see you paid a salary in line with your experience and benefit from company benefits. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a respected contractor and work on exciting projects based around the UK. You will be provided with long-term career development opportunities and the chance to progress into a commercial director for the company.
