You will manage our Stepnell Supply Chain and play a key role in shaping procurement processes to achieve maximum value. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage: Oversee the Group buying function, reporting directly to the Commercial Director.
- Supply Chain Champion: Act as the principal contact for the Stepnell Supply Chain (SSC),promoting its benefits and managing the intranet presence.
- Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement group framework agreements, manage supplier accounts, negotiate rebates, and ensure the best value for the company.
- Innovation and Quality: Stay ahead of market trends, lead procurement initiatives, and maintain our reputation for delivering quality products.
- Team Collaboration: Support project teams, lead buying training and manage procurement for various departments including IT.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse procurement data, suggest improvements and provide insights to the Senior Leadership Team.
- SSC Management: Oversee SSC operations, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with business standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive the enhancement of procurement and SSC systems, integrating new technologies for efficiency.
- Support Business Growth: Assist in work-winning and tender processes, and encourage labour-only procurement options.

Construction sector knowledge and experience
- Leadership and Integrity: A great team player with excellent communication skills, high personal integrity, and enthusiasm.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to drive procurement
- excellence.
- In-depth knowledge: Proficient in credit queries, accounting functions, and understanding of contract conditions and terms.
- Innovator: Continuously challenge and improve existing processes, ensuring the best outcomes for the business.
