Fantastic opportunity for a CNC Field Service Engineer to join an established team working on a range of bespoke, high value woodworking machines.


About the Company

We specialise in the installation, maintenance and repair of CNC machines to the panel processing market and are looking to employ a Field Engineer to play a key role within the maintenance team.


The Role

This role is incredibly varied, you will be on the road performing diagnostics, repairs and tests on a range of CNC Machines.


We require an experienced engineer to carry out installation and training of machinery, as well as service and repairs to a range of high speed routing CNC machines.


The candidate should be knowledgeable in machine mechanics, pneumatics and electrics plus a knowledge of offline CNC programming.


You will be based from home and travel to our customer sites across the UK. Our main office is located in Bicester, Oxfordshire and a technical centre in Leeds. Due to the nature of this role applicants must be willing to stay away up to 4 nights a week.


What you need

In addition to the above the ideal candidate will possess a strong awareness of diagnostic, remove, replace and installation of all machinery and an enthusiasm for all things mechanical and a curiosity to find a solution.


Ideal Qualifications

  • Industrial experience of CNC Machines, particularly panel processing
  • Good knowledge of G codes and M codes
  • Experience of CNC controllers
  • Fanuc knowledge would be desirable
  • IT competent
  • Ability to understand and work from technical drawings
  • Experience of offline CNC programming
  • Have an understanding of mechanical / pneumatic systems
  • Have an understanding of electrical circuits and operation
  • Experience of machinery handling
  • Have self confidence and the ability to work on own initiative and self manage
  • Willing to travel and stay away for up to 4 nights a week
  • Be able to communicate well with customers and suppliers
  • Have a valid driving license
  • Have own basic tool kit
