A large electronics manufacturer is looking for an experienced Quality Manager.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise and establish activities aligned with business objectives.
  • Define customer requirements and implement robust, efficient, and safe quality controls.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with current customer needs.
  • Continuously improve working practices and procedures to achieve ISO 9001 and 14001 excellence and certification.
  • Manage the annual audit schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, legislative, and company specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance for direct reports, addressing issues impacting customer demand promptly.
  • Monitor and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) by conducting robust Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analyses for process defects.
  • Engage with customers to understand their requirements and deliver sustainable solutions.
  • Lead New Product Introductions as the site's technical expert.
  • Focus on team development and succession planning for all functions.
  • Contribute to supplier reviews, driving process quality improvement across the extended supply chain.
  • Document Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for all site processes, using identified risks to enhance performance.
Background:
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent with over 5 years of experience leading quality-focused teams.
  • Proficient in leading internal quality audit schedules.
  • Previous experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) and Kaizen methodologies.

  • Strong commercial awareness is preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills (both internal and external).
  • Effective presentation skills.
